A Crosby couple have praised two local tree surgeons who came to the rescue after their cat became stuck in a tree.
The cat-astrophe happened on the Main Road in Crosby when Roo, the couple’s adventurous cat, climbed into the thickest part of a bushy tree and couldn't get down.
For more than an hour and a half, her owners tried everything - from ladders to makeshift platforms- but Roo remained out of reach.
That’s when Aaron and Shaun from WoodCuts Gardening & Tree Services stepped in.
Although rescuing cats isn’t part of their usual work, Aaron rushed to the scene and, along with Shaun, managed to rescue Roo in just 15 minutes.
Carol Bestwick, Roo's owner described Aaron and Shaun as 'amazing'.
She is now encouraging people to support the Crosby-based business, which usually specialises in gardening and tree services, for their quick thinking and community spirit.
