Three puppies born on the Isle of Man are set to join the Cumbrian police force.
It’s after police dog Saxon gave birth to a litter of nine Alsatian puppies just over seven weeks ago.
Of the three boys and six girls three will be also trained up for use on the Island, two will be kept as pets and one will go to a charity.
Training will start in the next few weeks to get the dogs prepared for life in the constabulary.
Sergeant Ian Kelly heads up the dog unit - he says the puppies should make good recruits:
