Children returning to school next week are being encouraged to take two lateral flow tests each week.
It is part of new measures set out by the Manx government to mitigate against the spread of COVID-19.
The start of the new term next week has prompted concerns it could spark a rise in cases.
The testing recommendation does not apply to primary school children- only to secondary and UCM students.
The Manx government said there will be increased ventilation and hand hygiene precautions in place, while carbon dioxide monitors will also be used in some classrooms.
The guidelines can be found here.
