A seal pup was taken to the seal sanctuary yesterday after being found on Fenella Beach.
The Manx Wildlife Trust says the pup had been monitored by volunteers for over 24 hours, but with no signs of its mother and its low weight, it was taken into veterinary care.
Anyone worried about a seal’s health, or sees one at risk of disturbance on a busy beach, can get in touch with the charity on 844432.
The public is reminded to keep their distance and not push pups back into the water as they need rest on the shore, particularly during bad weather.
