Pulrose police station has closed to the public.
The public counter at the office on Heather Crescent was staffed by an administrative officer for four hours a day during the week.
However, police say a review of services has found it's not used enough to justify keeping it open - only six people reported a crime there in the last year.
The member of staff will now transfer to Police Headquarters after the counter closed on Friday.
