Public warned over dangers of barbecue fires

People have been warned to take care if they are planning a camping trip over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says things like dropped glass bottles and smouldering disposable barbecues pose serious fire risks.

The warning comes after a large patch of hedge row caught fire in Kirk Michael earlier this week.

Divisional officer Karl Kinvig says the dry ground doesn't help matters:
