The government wants residents' opinions on proposals aimed at modernising the system.
Officials want to hear what people think about the Registration of Electors Bill and Elections (Keys and Local Authorities) Bill which, they say, are aimed at providing more clarity and consistency and addressing issues raised in the 2016 election.
Those interested in taking part can do so on the online government consultation hub before the deadline on January 6, 2020.
