Salt Available At Amenity Sites Across The Island
A snow code has been issued by the Department of Infrastructure to help people clear snow from around their properties safely.
Heavy snow is forecast for the Island from today and the Department’s works teams are expected to be once again stretched to their capacity.
During the recent snowfall they’ve been responding to over 300 emergency calls per day.
The public are being appealed to, to do their bit and clear paths outside their homes – there are salt bins all over the Island that the public have access to, to build up a supply at their home.
You can get the grit from the salt bins around the Island’s amenity sites.
