Passengers on the Island's buses and trains made more than four million journeys last year, according to Isle of Man Transport.
A total of 4,005,199 trips were made last year, up seven per cent on 2015's figure.
Bus passenger numbers were up by five per cent, as Bus Vannin carried almost 3.5 million people.
Department of Infrastructure member with responsibility for transport, Jason Moorhouse MHK, says putting WiFi on buses and launching a new timetable app for mobile phones all helped push up passenger numbers.
