Public react angrily to police cuts

Major changes to the way the Island is being policed - in order to save government money - have not gone down well with the public.

Officer numbers are being slashed by 11 per cent - down to levels last seen in the mid-1990s - and two police stations are being closed. 
 
Our listeners have been having their say - Jane says it appears public safety isn't a priority for government, while Ruth calls it 'awful', and Donna says politicians should be cut and not policemen. 
 
Aris says it's great news - for criminals - whilst Mike says it's a false economy as having a higher crime rate will impact on government's finances.
