Representatives from DONG Energy will be on the Island this week to discuss plans for an extension to a wind farm in the Irish Sea.
The company is planning to extend its Walney wind farm which is located around 31KM south east from the Isle of Man.
Concerns have already been raised about the extension due to its close proximity to the Steam Packet’s sailing routes, which could be affected in bad weather.
Mike Hennessy from the Chamber of Commerce, which has already met with representatives, says he believes concerns will be listened to:

The public meeting will take place at the Villa Marina on Wednesday between 1pm and 7pm.
