Public housing means testing a real possibility

It’s anticipated that in an effort to ensure fair public housing allocation in the future a method of means testing will have to be introduced.

The current system has come under intense public scrutiny from people who feel a number of homeowners are exploiting the system.

Social Care Minister, Chris Robertshaw is due to give an update on the current extensive Housing Review being carried out, to Tuesday’s sitting of Tynwald.

He told 3FM that means testing is something they are looking very seriously at.
