Public Health Isle of Man is warning people to be on the look out for Ticks.
The small, spider-like creatures feed on the blood of both animals and people and are most active between Spring and Autumn.
They can transmit bacteria that causes Lyme disease and are mostly found in long grass, parks and gardens.
As a result, the health body is asking people to check themselves and their pets after they've been outdoors, particularly if you've been in tall grassy areas or woodlands.
