A 20mph zone could be imposed in Castletown next year as government aims to clamp down on speeding.
It’s one of the first three towns to be considered for the Active Travel Strategy which is hoping to promote a more pedestrian and cycle-friendly environment.
Plans are also in place to introduce traffic calming measures, with Victoria Road, Arbory Road and the promenade among the routes involved in the scheme.
