Property owners responsible for maintaining 'un-adopted' roads

Property owners are responsible for maintaining access on 'un-adopted' roads on the Isle of Man.

The Department of Home Affairs says although some cause issues it's not its responsibility to police:

Concerns have been raised about access to properties in the event of an emergency after a fire on Douglas Head Road last month.

Chris Thomas has political responsibility for the department and says people shouldn't be overly concerned:
