Promoter pens letter claiming he's been hung 'out to dry'

The music promoter embroiled in a dispute with the Department of Economic Development has pleaded with the Chief Minister to meet with him so he can 'present the truth'.

The chief executive of tinyCOW Lee O'Hanlon has confirmed he asked for a meeting with Allan Bell earlier this week which was declined.

He's sent an open letter to the Chief Minister, Economic Development Minister and MLC David Cretney - and copied in government staff and the acting Attorney General.

In it he says the department has made 'knowingly false claims' to 'discredit' him and his company due to its own 'failings and misgivings'.

Numerous allegations surrounding confidentiality and financial processes have been made about The Jacksons concert in 2014 and the Tom Jones concert in July this year.

Mr O'Hanlon claims to have all the original heads of agreements and contracts which he claims to be 'incontrovertible evidence' adding he doesn't want the Manx public to be 'lied to and hoodwinked'.

He also claims that after the work he's done to 'promote the Island' the department is hanging him, the company and the Manx public 'out to dry'.

The department says allegations that it failed to comply with financial regulations and that it amended a contract retrospectively are untrue.
