Douglas promenade works will continue beyond the September deadline.
Work on Douglas Promenade - due to finish at the end of this month - will now continue for another four weeks, according to the contractor overseeing the project.
Auldyn has released a work plan for September which shows construction running until October 9.
In the update, the company says it still needs to finish the cultural area as well as pavements and kerbs.
This week sees 5G bases installed along the promenade, as well as work on footpaths and the rail corridor.
