Prom traffic plan unveiled for TT

The government's unveiled a traffic management strategy for Douglas Promenade during this year's TT.

A huge renovation scheme means the 20mph speed limit along the length of the prom will remain in place, although roadworks will be halted for the fortnight.

Harris Promenade outside the Sefton Hotel will remain zoned off, while fencing will remain between Castle Drive and Switzerland Road.

The horse trams will run as normal during the festival, and the Department of Infrastructure says people should park at Summerland, the Bottleneck or Chester Street for events such as sand racing and the Red Arrows.
