A man’s walked free from court after problems with evidence led to prosecutors dropping an allegation he’d driven whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
Paul Sunday Akinmurele of Bucks Road in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 48 year old hadn’t yet entered a plea to the charge, which dated to January 10, and prosecutor Chrissie Hunt told the hearing evidence was degraded because of problems keeping it at the right temperature during
transit.
She offered no evidence and the bench marked the charge dismissed.
