Aaron Lee Barnett of no fixed abode appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse for sentencing after admitting using provoking behaviour.
The court heard he’d committed the offence at the Best Western Palace Hotel on November 22.
Barnett had refused to cooperate with the probation service and hadn’t allowed the court access to his medical records after concerns were raised about his mental health.
Mrs Hughes placed him on probation for a year, with a condition he receives treatment from mental health professionals.
