A prisoner who assaulted two guards minutes before he was released will spend another three months behind bars.
Alistair John Cowin appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 37 year old earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting peace officers on June 9.
The court heard at 8am he was being released when he lost his temper and grabbed one officer by the neck, punching another in the jaw.
Later, he claimed the prison officers were really undercover police who were part of a conspiracy to keep him in jail.
Magistrates jailed him for a total of 13 weeks.
