A man’s appeared in court charged with attempting to smuggle drugs and tobacco into prison.
42 year old Paul Clint Shields, whose address was given as Jurby jail, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He denies four charges of introducing prohibited articles into prison and three of possessing drugs with intent to supply them on March 4 and 5.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody to appear at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on a date to be fixed.
