The closure was announced on 6 August after a small number of prisoners became infected.
Governor, Leroy Bonnick told 3FM that staff and prisoners are now being tested regularly and each wing is currently in its own bubble.
The safety measure would not be possible during visiting times which would mean mixing groups.
Mr Bonnick added that the situation is being reviewed weekly and while he understands it is a difficult for those who are missing loved ones, he is "very grateful for the resilience of all staff and prisoners".
