Prison Officers kayak around the Island in under 21 hours

Two local prison officers have completed their mission to kayak all the way around the Isle of Man.

Two local prison officers have completed their mission to kayak all the way around the Isle of Man.

Martin Phillips and Keith Burns from Kirk Michael both had military backgrounds before working in the Isle of Man prison so now raise money for ex servicemen and their families.

They made it into Peel Harbour at 5:20 this morning in a time of just under 21 hours.

All money raised is for the Royal British Legion in the year the charity celebrates it's 90th anniversary.
