Prison at Christmas is not the 'Jurby Hilton'

The Isle of Man Prison and Probation Service is trying to discourage the notion that prison isn't a big deal.

 

Deputy prison governor Nigel Fisher says being in prison, especially over Christmas, means time spent away from family and without freedom. 

 

He says he wants to people to think about the consequences of their actions before they drink too much, drink and drive, act violently or commit any crime which could see them locked up:
