A Freedom of Information request asked why the box is painted in rainbow colours - claiming Pride colours aren't supposed to be displayed by government year-round.

In its response, the organisation said it was specially decorated for the Island's first ever Pride event some time ago.

Those behind the query asked if it was to hide the postbox - but Isle of Man Post Office says it doesn't have a policy of concealing or disguising its postboxes.
