The price of sending a letter to the UK is on the rise, as of next month.
From April 8, the cost of a standard local and UK letter will go up from 52p to 57p.
A 5 per cent rise has also been announced on Special Delivery express services.
Chair of the Island's Post Office Julie Edge says the postal service 'regrets any price rises for customers', but due to decline people sending letters, increases are 'inevitable'.
However, prices remain unchanged for friends and families posting letters and parcels up to 2kg to British Forces Post Offices.
