Lawrence Skelly has announced he'll be stepping down as President of Tynwald this year.
Mr Skelly won't be seeking re-election to the presidency when his term ends in the summer, after five years in the post.
Also a member of the Legislative Council, he says he plans to retire from political life.
The election of the next President of Tynwald will take place on Tuesday, July 21, with his successor to serve until 2031.
