 
                            A local charity says it's ''appalled'' by the government's proposal to charge prescription fees.
The Manx Diabetic Group says Island residents who have a chronic illness should be exempt from charges, as they are in the UK.
The organisation is urging Health Minister Kate Beecroft to reconsider what it calls a ''blatantly unfair and unworkable proposal''.
