Today’s Festival of Motorcycling practice has been cancelled because of a shortage of marshals.
Organisers confirmed the news this morning saying the next qualifying round will now take place on Monday with roads to close from 6pm and re-open no later than 9pm.
it comes after yesterday’s practice was called off due to poor weather on sections of the course which caused a series of delays.
Clerk of the course, Gary Thompson, says they’re currently over 80 marshals short for today after reviewing the numbers - adding this mornings announcement gives plenty of notice for spectators and time to focus on getting enough personnel for tomorrow.
