The bad weather is causing further disruption to the mail services, the airport closure has meant the airmail has failed to arrive in time for the second day running.
Furthermore the conditions on the highways and footpaths, especially minor roads and roads in remote areas have complicated the problem they are already experiencing.
This means they have cancelled all mail deliveries throughout the Island today.
Conditions yesterday meant that they had to suspend all collections in the Douglas area, but they were able to dispatch the airmail to the UK.
The sorting office is now closed.
