In support of the LGBTQ+ community - the Island has its very first 'pride' post box!
In light of 'Isle of Pride' this weekend - the Post Office has temporarily re-decorated its post box at the Sea Terminal.
The business will also update its branding on social media to mark the festival on Saturday.
Gemma Woodford, Human Resources Officer IOMPO, said: “Isle of Man Post Office is proud to be an equal opportunities employer with strong values reflecting our pledge to treat each other with fairness and respect embracing diversity and inclusivity. We provide equality awareness training and an environment where all individuals, including those from diverse backgrounds, feel welcome and accepted."
Dawn Kinnish, a director and trustee of Isle of Pride added that “Pride 2021 is a milestone in the Island’s transformational journey towards greater visibility and inclusivity, not only for the LBGTQIA+ community but also the wider Manx community. We are delighted that IOM Post Office have shown their commitment to inclusion and partnered with Isle of Pride.”
