Foxdale Post Office to close

Foxdale Post Office is shutting down.

Ellan Vannin Fuels will close the office in its filling station after almost four years because it's no longer financially viable to run.

The company says the Post Office has been losing money for the last three years and will close in August. 

Isle of Man Post Office says it's committed to keeping services in communities and its customers should use post offices in St Johns or Peel after the closure.

It adds MiCard users will have to contact Social Security to arrange collecting pensions and benefits from an alternative office.
