The Island's Post Office says it 'strongly refutes' Communication Workers' Union claims it's rejected the notion to have 'meaningful' talks.
The Post Office says it's had both written and verbal dialogue with the CWU on Sunday, and had agreed to a day of 'intense negotiation talks' to take place on Wednesday.
The board has also said talks have already taken place yesterday.
Chair Julie Edge says she wants to avoid this week’s planned strike action and the disruption it will have for customers at the busiest time of the year.
She also said she's disappointed the 'completely untrue' claims from CWU that they have rejected the offer of talks which are currently ongoing.
