Possible plans to make TT a global event

There are plans currently being devised to make a global TT event that could begin as soon as 2014.

As the commercial right holders of the TT the Department of Economic Development are currently looking into the possibility of such an event.

They’re currently undertaking a review into the finer details of such an event.

If given the go ahead it would see a major return on the money the Government currently invest in the TT brand.

It would endeavour to feature the world’s top road racers racing at 'TT' events around the world.

A consultation exercise will begin soon to determine the next step forward for the plans.
