The Department of Infrastructure has clarified its position on the future of school mini-buses.
All government mini-buses will be operated and maintained under the department's Operator Licence from April.
The idea of a shared fleet is to achieve consistent standards and generate cost efficiencies - however if a school doesn't wish to be part of the arrangement they can arrange their own licence.
