Portofino Restaurant has officially announced its closure.
Located on Quay West in Douglas, the restaurant has taken to social media as it confirms it ceases to trade.
Owner Mario Ciappelli says he was forced to make the tough choice due to rising costs of ingredients, labour, and overheads, coupled with the unpredictable nature of the hospitality industry.
He adds he's extremely grateful to all the suppliers, chefs and staff who contributed to its legacy, and all the patrons over the years for their support.
Anyone interested in leasing Portofino is asked to get in touch as it's now for sale.
