People who live and work on bay View Road have been telling 3fm how events unfolded there last night.
An embankment collapsed in the area known as Happy Valley.

Michelle Heywood of Bay View Road told 3fm that although the civil defence set up the refuge centre at the town hall, most people were put up by friends for the night.

His 84 year old mother lives in his home so getting her somewhere safe to stay was there priority.
He has been delivering papers to Port St Mary town hall.
He told us they as residents they are in the dark about when they can return to their home.
