Commissioners in Port Erin will roll out water bottle refill points to help reduce single-plastic waste.
Two points are being installed initially - one already in place at Station Road Car Park and another to be put at the Lower Promenade by the beach - with the town also signing up to the Refill Isle of Man Scheme, in which businesses can make tap water available to the public.
Chair of the town commissioners, Nick Watterson, says the stations can prove a 'simple but effective way' to encourage people to switch to reusable bottles.
He added the authority intends to put more in place in future to benefit locals, visitors and the environment.
