Could the Ballakilley estate fall under a new local authority from next year?
Proposals to extend the boundaries of Port Erin to include the estate are due to go before Tynwald at its next sitting.
The 78-home area is currently part of Rushen, but if the plans are approved it would become part of the Port Erin village region from April 2020.
A public inquiry on the matter was held back in March which followed a public consultation on the plans which took place in August and September last year.
