The former prison site in Douglas may be used to accommodate TT visitors, if a planning application is successful.
A scheme's been submitted to provide temporary accommodation for up to 150 tourists during TT 2019.
The Victoria Road jail closed in 2008 when inmates were moved to the new prison in Jurby.
The buildings on the land were demolished in 2013.
