On Wednesday afternoon, a Poppy Appeal collection box was stolen from inside Maughold Church.

The box contained money which was due to be presented to the Royal British Legion at the Service of Remembrance yesterday.
Anybody with information about the theft is asked to contact police.
Constable Matt Creer of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing team said 'This is a despicable offence, to steal donations belonging the Royal British Legion from inside a church, the day before Armistice Day is totally unacceptable.'
