Police are warning of a scam which is targeting Island residents.
Officers say members of the public have reported receiving a letter from the 'International Postcode Lottery' which claims the person has won a lottery draw and they can find out how to claim their winnings by doing a bank transfer.
The constabulary says the 'International Postcode Lottery' is not a legitimate company and anyone who gets this letter should report it to Action Fraud UK.
Just last week, police warned of a separate scam where someone from off-Island claiming to be from police was telephoning residents in an attempt to steal personal details.
