Police are warning people not to fall for a new scam that is 'praying on the vulnerable'.
The 'Log Death Certificate Scam' is an attempt to steal someone's identity - scammers contact the next of kin of someone who has recently died requesting a copy of the death certificate.
Officers are advising people not to give out any personal information and to check the caller is genuine by checking their number against the company's official website or original documents.
