The Police have asked homeowners to be vigilant after reports of a potential door to door scam artist.
A man purporting to work for Manx Utilities has been knocking on doors; suspicions were first raised when it was realised he was wearing an old MEA branded uniform.
Manx Utilities say they don't call at customer properties without first making an appointment, and all their staff carry photo ID, and will not be offended if you ask for them to prove their identity.
If you have any concerns you're asked to contact the police immediately.
