The overall detection rate has increased to almost double the average achieved by police forces in England and Wales.
Police here say 70 fewer crimes were recorded than last year.
National figures show that only 3% of the Island's population are victims of crime, a figure seven times less than in the UK.
Superintendent Paul Cubbon said the force are delighted with the statistics but are urging people to be crime conscious.
