Police have thanked a couple for helping a stranger in need.
On social media - officers say the couple were on a night out in Port Erin, waiting for the last bus into Douglas, when they came across someone who had fallen over and hurt their head.
They had called 999 when Officers on patrol happened to come upon them.
The couple stayed and kept talking to the injured person to keep them awake whilst the Officer assessed the casualty and applied a bandage to stem the bleeding.
The constabulary added the last bus had gone by the time the Ambulance had the injured person loaded up and off to Hospital, so I it was only fair they gave the duo a lift home.
It ends “It’s a reminder of how lucky we are on this island where people will stop and help complete strangers who are in need of help.”
