A recent clampdown targeting vehicles with lighting defects has produced positive results.
The initiative, which ran from November 8th to the 13th, saw Neighbourhood teams across the Island out in force stopping vehicles.
Throughout the week 230 cars were stopped, 50 of which proved to have faulty or broken lights.
During the winter especially this can be problematic for other motorists seriously reducing their visibility on the roads.
Motorists are reminded to carry out regular checks on their cars over the winter months to ensure they are well prepared for the trickier driving conditions.
