The number of spying warrants granted to police more than doubled over the past year, according to the Interception of Communications Commissioner.
Steven Coren is due to present his annual report to Tynwald when it sits later this month.
In it, he says 134 new warrants were issued in 2023 - up from 61 the previous year.
He says after reviewing the applications, the rise reflects a planned and proportionate increase in law enforcement.
