Police say they seized a car this morning after finding problems with both the vehicle and its driver.
The Roads Policing Unit says officers stopped the car on Castle Mona Avenue earlier and arrested the driver on suspicion of being unfit to drive.
But the BMW 3 Series also had a number of problems, including bald tyres, and had to be towed away.
Officers say the driver may have risked the lives of people going about their daily business.
